An explanation and troubleshooting steps for Error 100, 101 - Could not connect to PhyzBatch control board.
General Resolution
Make sure the main switch is turned on and the red LED is on. If it is, turn the main switch off, wait 5 seconds, then turn it on again.
The PhyzBatch 9000 has a separate control board for the camera, lights, motors and conveyors. This message indicates that the PC inside the scanner cannot connect to this board. There are a few possible causes for this:
- the main switch is turned off, so the control board has no power
- the firmware on the control board has frozen, and requires a restart
- the USB cable between the internal PC and control board has come loose
- the control board, USB cable, USB ports or some combination thereof are faulty
The internal PC will have power even if the main switch is turned off. Usually, flipping the main switch off and on will resolve the issue. In rare cases, you may need restart the PC as well.
If power-cycling the main switch does not resolve the issue, it is recommended to contact Support for additional troubleshooting and/or a swap of the scanner unit. Control boards cannot be replaced in the field.
