If a jam occurs, will the machine keep running and damage the cards?

If a jam occurs (let’s say I accidentally fed through a business card, or a rules booklet), will the machine keep running and damage the cards?

We have three layers of redundancy built in to make sure a "table saw" scenario doesn't happen:

1. The conveyor motor is speed-monitored, so if its RPM drops below a specified range, there is an immediate shutdown of the machine (and the software will properly pause your current sorting session)
2. There are sensors going into and coming out of the camera bay, so if a card goes in, but does not come out, the machine will stop
3. We have a computer vision routine built in to look for anything unexpected in the camera bay, such as multiple cards, or anything not strictly "card shaped"
