How to use Bin Templates

Use bin templates so you don't have to enter the same criteria multiple times.

It is possible to save a copy of your bin settings which can then be reused on multiple bins.  This is especially useful when making lots, since those can involve many different settings.

To access bin templates, click on the text "Load bin settings from template?" in the Advanced Options for the bin.

Creating a Template

To create a template, click in the box that appears after clicking the text.  If you have no saved templates, it will display "Type or select" initially.

Once you've entered the name for your template, click on the "+ Create <Template Name>" that appears underneath to save your setting.

bin_templates_create

This will create a template using the bin criteria you have selected below.

If you have saved templates, they will be displayed to start.  Click in the box, change the name and click "+ Create" to make a new template.  Any changes made will not be saved to the original template.

Template Options

Options are accessible through the "..." Actions button, visible on the right of the template name.

Load - Select the template to be used, then click Load to import the bin settings.

Rename - Change the name of the template without creating a new one.

Save - Save the currently displayed bin settings to the displayed template.  Unlike changes to a saved Sort Preset, changes to templates are not automatically saved when changes are made.

Delete - Deletes the template shown.  This is a permanent change.

For now, changing a template will not change all saved bin criteria using it.  You will need to go to each bin using that template and use Load to load the changes to the bin.

This will be changed in a future patch.
