How to Access Scanner Bay

How to access the inside of the scanner bay in the PhyzBatch-9000 card sorter.

Screw Model Procedure

To access the inside of the scanning bay complete the following steps:

  1. Remove the thumbscrew at the bottom rear of the conveyor cover.

  2. Pull the conveyor cover back, away from the scanner.  It does not need to be fully removed.

  3. Remove the 2mm Allen screw from the scanner door.

  4. Open the door, and loosen the screw in the upper left corner of the black plastic cover.

  5. Rotate the cover upwards, and tighten the screw to hold it in place.

  6. Use the Turn Light On option in the Maintenance Menu to more easily see inside.

And that's all.  Simply perform the steps in reverse order to seal everything again.

Cards can be correctly scanned with the door and cover open so long as no bright light sources are shining directly into the bay other than the internal lighting.

Having the scanning bay exposed will cause the foil detection feature to produce inaccurate results.


Latch Model

To access the inside of the scanner bay, perform the following steps:

  1. Rotate the latch 90 to 180 degrees to open the side door.
  2. Open the door, and loosen the screw in the upper left corner of the black plastic cover.

  3. Rotate the cover upwards, and tighten the screw to hold it in place.

  4. Use the Turn Light On option in the Maintenance Menu to more easily see inside.

    And that's all, follow the steps in reverse order to close the bay.
