Quick Correct Guide

A guide to the usage of the Quick Correct page.

The Quick Correct module was created to help users review the cards they have sorted and quickly make any necessary edits to them.

Accessing Quick Correct

This page is accessible by clicking the Quick correct button in the top right of a list of sorted cards, which are found either in Sort History > View Cards or by selecting the Filter Cards option on completing a sorting session.

To save Pending changes to a card, navigate to the next card or press the Enter key.

Any changes made to cards can be reverted using the D key while changes are Pending.

Once a card has been saved, the changes cannot be undone with that key.  Cards may be edited an unlimited number of times.

  1. Search Bar - Any card can be searched for by name using this field.  Cards found by the search bar will appear in the box below.
  2. Scanned - This is the actual image of the scanned card.  If this image is not available, it will be replaced with a placeholder image of the originally scanned card.
  3. Matched - This is an image of the card identified by the machine based on the scanned card.  If the card is modified afterwards, this image will change to reflect the changes.
  4. Card Settings (including hotkeys)
    1. Name - Name of the card.  This cannot be directly edited.
    2. Number (N)- The number of the card.  This is based on the set.  If there are multiple cards that have the same set and name, their number can be selected from this dropdown.
    3. Set (S) - The set of the card.  This is based on the card name.  Set icons are visible in the dropdown for easy matching with the Scanned card image.  You may type in this field to search for sets by name.
    4. Condition (C) - The condition of the card (NM, LP, etc.). This is set by your sort settings when the card is scanned, but can be edited later.  If a card is added manually,  it will be NM initially.
    5. Parallel Cards (P) - Only available in Pokémon, this field is used to select card variants that have the same card name, set, and number but have some other different variation that can't be specifically detected.  Currently, this applies to Poké Ball and Master Ball foiling.  This field will be greyed out if no alternative versions exist.
    6. Foil Type (F) - The foiling of the card.  This is based on the possible foilings available for that card based on the set and number. Note that different foil treatments may have a different card number.
    7. Bin (B) - The bin the card was sorted into (1-13).
  5. Similar Cards (Ctrl+S, Ctrl+up or down) - Will list any cards with the same name or which are a reskin (ex. MtG Secret Lair) for easy correction.  Clicking on a card from this list will change the Matched card to the selected card.
    1. If a card is searched using the Search Bar, it will appear here.  Clicking on the card will swap the Matched card.   Pressing the button next to the card will add a new card to the sort.
    2. Press Esc or click outside the box to exit the search bar.
  6. Scanned Cards (up or down)- All cards in this sort.  Can be filtered by settings in the previous Sort History screen.  Click on the headers to sort the list by that column.  In addition to the card properties, this list has two additional columns:
    1.  Confidence - Can be High, Medium, or Low.  This is a measure of how many points of reference (number, name, art, set symbol, etc.) were matched to the scanned card.
    2. Status - Reflects the state of the card.  This can be either:
      1. Blank - no action has been taken
      2. Reviewed - has been viewed by an operator, but no changes have been made
      3. Pending - has had changes made, but has not been saved
      4. Modified - A scanned card that had some parameters changed and saved
      5. Added - A card that was not scanned, which has been manually added to the sort
  7. Sorted Cards Search Bar - Enter a card in this field to search the list for a specific card.
  8. Confidence Filter - Click here to filter the list for High / Medium / Low Confidence cards.
  9. Hotkey Bar - Click to open a list of hotkeys.  This window can be moved around the Quick Correct window.  Press the button again to hide the pop-up.

Hotkeys

In order to make editing cards as quick as possible, hotkeys can be used to edit properties in addition to the dropdown menus.

Pressing these hotkeys will navigate cards or loop through menus as appropriate.  Pressing one of the keys associated with Card Settings will immediately change the Matched card; however, changes will not be saved until navigating to the next card or pressing Enter.
